Thanks for your interest in Free Company. Data protection matters to us. This statement informs you about the processing of personal data under Art. 13 GDPR when you visit our website.

2. Hosting & access logs
We host our website with Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The servers are located in Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner.
When you visit the website, technically necessary data is recorded in server logs: IP address, time of the request, requested URL, transferred data volume, referrer, user agent.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the stable and secure operation of the website. The data is deleted or anonymised after a maximum of 14 days unless security incidents require longer retention.
3. Cookies & similar technologies
We only use technically necessary cookies that are indispensable for operating the website. They do not require consent (§ 25 (2) TTDSG). No external trackers, analytics cookies, or third-party booking widgets are in use.
4. Email contact
If you contact us by email, we process your data (email address, content of the message) solely to answer your enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient communication). The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed and no legal retention obligations stand against deletion.
5. Recipients of the data
Data is only shared with processors that help us operate the website (hosting with Hetzner Online GmbH). With every processor we have a written agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
No transfer to third parties beyond this processing chain takes place.
6. Your rights
You have the right at any time to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectify (Art. 16 GDPR), erase (Art. 17 GDPR), restrict the processing of (Art. 18 GDPR), and obtain a portable copy of your data (Art. 20 GDPR).
You can revoke any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR). The lawfulness of processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected.
You have the right to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).

7. Right to lodge a complaint
Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement. The supervisory authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
8. No automated decision-making
No decision based solely on automated processing — including profiling — within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place on this website.
9. Status and changes
We continuously adapt this privacy policy when changes to the website or to the services we use require it. The version published on this page applies.
